


“Healing The Troubled Past”
On the 25 May 2009, Corpus Christi Services (CCS) was advised that it had been successful in its bid to PEACE lll, Priority 1, Theme 2, Acknowledging and dealing with the Past. The Consortium Steering Committee of SEUPB made an award of grant aid up to £225,392 for the period June 2009 to May 2011.
Four additional staff members will be recruited for a Befriending programme set to commence March 2010.
Aim of the programme:
“To engage with victims of the conflict and address some of the main legacies such as fear, neglect, lack of self confidence, alienation, poor communication skills, lack of trust and apathy”

Staff were recruited throughout the summer and took up posts in September and October. There are currently 4 staff members working on the programme:
