Mission Statement

“Corpus Christi Services will work vigorously to challenge the causes and conditions that have created the social, economic and welfare problems in our community.  We will strive to achieve real and sustainable benefit by enhancing the quality of life through a range of services and advice and, most of all, create avenues and opportunities that allow people to help themselves”.

Our Vision

“ That the right of all sections in our community to reach their full potential be honoured as an essential contribution to full and economic and social regeneration”

Developments

Undoubtedly the highlight of the year was the return to our newly built premises and its official opening by the President of Ireland – Mary McAleese.  In addition to new office space and a purpose built counselling suite CCS also has the use of a Neighbourhood Centre.  This facility will be used for a variety of events to enrich community life.

In keeping with proposals set out in our Strategic Development Plan (2004-07), CCS has successfully secured funding to implement and develop a Community Care programme for the elderly, housebound and their carers.  Initially the programme will run for three years subject to accessing continuing funding.  Early statistics for the project would suggest that it has been warmly welcomed by the local community.
